Scientist I/II, In Vitro Biology

Overview

EnquBio, a dynamic, technology-driven service company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist to join our rapidly growing team in San Diego. As part of the in Vitro Biology team, you will execute customer projects and contribute to scientific initiatives aimed at advancing innovative technology development. This role offers flexible working arrangements, including full-time and part-time options for highly qualified candidates.

 

Responsibilities

  • Independently execute comprehensive scientific studies or with minimal supervision.

  • Perform scientific projects in the areas of target discovery, functional assays, and MOA studies.

  • Conduct data analysis, provide regular project updates, and generate comprehensive study reports.

  • Effectively utilize scientific literature and external resources to support internal studies and the development of novel technologies and platforms.

  • Adhere to company policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and applicable regulations in all tasks.

  • Identify and troubleshoot experimental issues, proposing effective solutions as needed.

  • Provide additional support to the team as required.

 

Qualifications

  • MS with 4+ years or PhD with 1+ years of experience in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or a closely related field.

  • Previous experience in a CRO or biotechnology company is highly desirable.

  • Strong expertise in molecular and cell biology, including mammalian and primary cell culture.

  • Proficiency with phenotypic functional assays such as FACS, ELISA, qPCR, and other related techniques.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • A collaborative, proactive attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and meet tight deadlines.

  • Capable of working within an interdisciplinary team environment.

  • Strong multitasking abilities, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and data analysis software.
