Scientist I/II, In Vivo Pharmacology
Overview
EnquBio, a dynamic technology-driven discovery and service company, is actively searching for a highly capable and self-motivated Scientist to join our rapidly growing team in San Diego. As a key member of the In Vivo Pharmacology team, you will play a critical role in advancing our scientific initiatives and contributing to the success of our drug discovery projects.
Responsibilities

Design, plan, conduct, document, analyze and interpret a variety of in vivo in supporting various projects.

Actively involved in vivo murine model development and characterization for different programs (e.g. oncology (IO)/neuroscience).

Mentor/guide junior colleagues.

Proficient in executing in vivo pharmacology, and cell-based assays, demonstrating high in vivo assay development, and troubleshooting skills.

Accurately interpreting data, communicating experimental results, and generating comprehensive project reports.

Utilize literature and external resources effectively to support internal studies.

Implement novel technologies and platforms to enhance organizational value.

Perform job-specific tasks in strict compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Directly engage with customers, troubleshoot assay problems, and propose/pursue solutions.

Offer logical suggestions for likely causes of problems and independently propose effective solutions.

Proficient in operating semi-automated liquid dispensers, plate readers, and other laboratory instruments.

Perform support functions as required.
Qualifications
-
Ph.D./M.D. candidate, or M.S. candidate with 3+ years of experience in biology, pharmacology, neuroscience, or a closely related field encourages to apply, and industrial experience is a plus.

In-depth experience in animal handling and drug administration (i.v., i.p., s.c. dosing), and blood sampling, IVIS imaging, necropsy, tissue harvest and processing.

Deep understanding of molecular biology and cell biology, with experience in mammalian cell culture and formulation techniques.

Understand and implement study protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements for compliance with IACUC guidelines.

Demonstrated initiative in experiment design, trouble shooting and performing robust data analysis.

Excellent organization and document skills

Adaptable analysis person with a get it done attitude.

Experiences with humanized, xenograft, CDX, PDX, and GEMMs

Experiences with small rodent surgery, PK/PD, immune cell preparation, and ex vivo assays (multicolor flow cytometry, IHC, ELISA, MSD) is a plus.

Ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and prioritize and flexibility balance multiple collaborators.

Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.

Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team environment.

Ability to multitask across several research areas/projects.
